I began this piece by layering random arch-like shapes adding texture with some of my favorite mark making tools such as a piece of plastic shelf material. It has a raised parallel pattern that makes beautiful lines when dragged across the surface of the canvas. I am presenting my fishing couple in a way that includes water and sky environments treated in a fun playful manner, showing my appreciation of the family to their environment and each other.
