The cold winter day view of a nearby street provided a blend of my interests in tree forms, historic home features, and warm and cool tones of white. The background church steeple angles pull your eye toward the middle of the painting ending with the hand scraped-in cross at the top--there but almost disappearing into the overcast sky.
