I began this piece with the simple landscape forms found in New England--lakes, mountain and distant hills, and late day reflections in the water. The layers of moisture in the air create some very interesting colors such as this soft green which I have intensified here for the sake of the painting. I really enjoyed this process and will continue to develop a large scale painting series.
