Floating Color (Reflections)

Linked floating lobster and crab boxes lead eye in an irregular pattern toward the fishing boat at the end of the pier. I thought this was an unusual arrangement of forms and brought relief to the symmetry of the dock and horizon. Rich darks in the foreground water contrast the blues of the boxes and provide good contrast to the neutral greys of the dock. I enjoy playing with the forms and color instead of trying to render a faithful reality.
