Common shapes and forms began to emerge in my work inspired by visits to Monhegan Island Maine. Fishermen, boats, fish, landscape all seemed to have common shapes and forms and textures that began to appear in my work. This links them together in an iconic "blessed Mother on the half shell" idea. Intead of a bathtub I have used a skiff as shelter while fisherman and his catch huddle together from the storm.
