Facing Spring

Unframed. Single historic home in facing west has afternoon sunlight hitting side wall. Warm yellow whites contrast with cool blue whites of snow. Stark lighting condition inspired this painting. A previous stage of this painting included tree branches but after reflecting on it I began to smudge the branching pattern and found I liked the resulting simplified image much better.
