Get Up and Go On
by Ann Trainor Domingue
In 1979 I created a storyboard drawing for a college art exhibition of graduating seniors. It was intended to be looked at as a cartoon, frame by frame. I used imagery of a wave building and crashing on the shore only to expose a periwinkle (one of my favorite words) as it tumbled around trying to find its bearings and then off it skittered ahead. In sorting through old art pieces I have held on to the idea was still one I find is a helpful metaphor for my work today. And hope it could be for you too.
