Village Work All Day, Rest at Night

This Village series of paintings based on imagery in port city of Portsmouth, NH looking across toward Kittery, Maine, has become quite popular. I have rearranged the locations of landmarks to allow a viewer to see many special places all in one painting. I have intentionally played with shapes of elements such as fishhouses, boats, seagulls, fishermen and women, homes, bridges and other buildings. I find I can balance all these things as I weave these fun-filled views of life on the NH/ME seacoast.
