Enough Alike
by Ann Trainor Domingue
In my efforts to simply, I intentionally place my couple front and center while the rest of the design moves around them. The dark lines are drawn with a small squirt bottle of fluid acrylic paint. I let that dry overnight so it leaves a raised line of paint which feels like both a drawing and a painting. I then add layers of acrylic and scrape different tools through the wet paint to create other patterns in support of the overall design. Limiting my use of a broad range of colors has resulted in a quieter sense of space and atmosphere, something I've been working to accomplish.
