Wear It On My Sleeve

I began this piece with a random underpainting of color and collage. I then looked in my sketchbook and saw this simple drawing that I thought might work over the busy underpainting. I tried to retain as much of the background as possible while bringing emphasis to the fisherman. I like the scruffiness of the loose edges, something I have enjoyed working with for years.
