Finding the Way

In this piece I have intentionally removed a lot of the color in the underpainting, trying to retain interesting surface textures and patterns, while designing the curving shapes to overlap and intertwine with each other. I've kept an abstract mindset as I worked with photo imagery and my own recollection of a crashing waterfall in this new-to-me way. Hope you enjoy the view.
