This piece has been on a journey with me for years. It happens sometimes that a painting is not resonating with me or the public and is returned back to me from a gallery or two. I take time to reexamine what I was trying to say with the design and color and then work to strengthen the design by shifting color and adding other elements. I'm satisfied this one has a clear focus and concept. It has layer of fabric strips to develop the design along with threads of fraying edges of the fabric.
