The custom house wharf in Portland Maine is the inspiration for this piece although many old working waterfronts may have similar worn surfaces. The weatherworn structure is the backdrop to a very busy fish market. I have taken many liberties with the design of the is piece to include elements that found nearby but I've positioned things to create a new view that feels fresh and busy.
