Up at Dawn
by Ann Trainor Domingue
In this piece I left more of the drawn lines than in most of my other work. I enjoy drawing and thought I'd let more of it show in the final work. I have been a fan of cartooning since I fell in love with Woodstock in the Peanuts comic by Charles Shultz. In my work I use a bit more casual line than inked cartoons along with layered color rather than solid colors. The shapes of the elements are also inexact on purpose so a viewer will take in the view as a whole and not worry about the 'crooked' loosely drawn lines. This is an imagined location with an imagined story.
