Feeling the Day

Framed floater maple 13x13. This piece began with an underpainting of random marks and textures. I then decided to draw an image from a previous large painting 36x36 to see how that figure would work in this small setting. I liked the way the image is both part of the background and foreground and I hope to explore this idea a bit more in the future.
