All Along

I've passed many a sailboat in my travels around New England. The stark whites of sails against the rich blues of the sky and waters always catch my attention. Here is my impression interpreted by me through a semi abstract lens. I ignore many details others may put in in order to reduce the scene to its essence. At least the elements I see as most important for me to make a painting. No offense to other painters who include all the beautiful details. I've learned over time my vision is simply a different way to capture the same beauty in paint.
