Looking Ahead Looking Back

Finding my way as I worked on this piece was an unusual journey. I began with random marks and shapes, turning the canvas in different directions, layering colors, creating textures, stamping patterns, finding interesting shapes that resembled the sun at the top of the canvas. The piece came together once I found this direction. Working in a more abstract way without a preplanned plan is my mantra for 2023.
