Friends for Life
by Ann Trainor Domingue
Continuing my series involving life along the coast, this piece is a watercolor created in a 'wet-in-wet' technique using acrylic ink drawn lines, adding liquid frisket to save white areas, dried, then soaking the paper both sides, applying watercolor directly onto the wet paper to take advantage of the bleeding or feathering of the edges. Then dried overnight, and added more layers of color, scratched in texture, sprinkled salt, and finally removed the dried liquid latex frisket.
