Village Above and Below

These village paintings are my interpretation and arrangement of buildings and people. They are not meant to be architectural renderings of facts, but are meant to be an expression for the liveliness, color, and activity I have found when visiting Portsmouth NH in particular. I have rearranged reality by significantly shifting locations of bridges, buildings along with the scale of everything to illustrate a different whimsical way of seeing things all on one flat surface.
