This painting had an earlier life as another painting. After having been out and about for a while it came back to me. I realized that it would make a very good base for a new image which you see here. Evidence of the earlier painting can be seen by the pattern of line and texture seen in particular above the house roof and other areas throughout the painting. I've retained the raised textures as well as bits of fabric that had been part of the earlier work. I like seeing, and in this case feeling the previous work below. As though I am building on a foundation of previous thoughts and concepts...
