I've utilized an arch shape in my work for quite a while and this painting--painted over an earlier textured painting-- represents a shift in direction for my work toward abstraction keeping a foothold in some aspects of realism. This couple is standing in a doorway facing the evening, maybe looking forward to the next day, future, or remembering earlier times. Your choice.
