Start of It All LOVE

My first trip to Monhegan Island in 2003 as part of a painting group opened my eyes to the real possibility of working as a full time painter. This image of the lightkeepers house on the hill was a beautiful collection of shape, color, atmosphere, history and of course light. The subtleties were so powerful. Many many artists find this motif as beautiful as I do yet we each try to reimagine it in our own way. I thought adding the row of graphic signal flags would strengthen the design and bring a fresh concept to this well-documented scene. (L.O.V.E.)
