I have worked with motifs I commonly use in a different way in this piece. I've used thin handcut shapes of tracing paper to begin the painting process. This piece feels a bit like a silkscreen but has been painted with acrylic in many layers to achieve translucency of images. I've tried to create a world of familiar things found at the shore where hardworking, resilient people live and work, day in and day out.
