After the Day

If you've been at Mayflower Beach in Dennis, Cape Cod, you'll have experienced the rippling sands that form as the tide rolls out. They are a beautiful pattern of soft ridges and curves with watery rivulets still running out to sea. And if the sunlight is just right they disappear and appear as you turn in a circle. With clams spurting and periwinkles scurrying, and crabs hiding hoping the seagulls are not as successful that day.
