This is an example of a painting that needed me to reconsider it. When it came back to me I thought it seemed somehow incomplete--as a painting and a story. I added the large moon shape which completely changed the overall direction of the original work. I strengthened what I was thinking about as I dedicated the top portion of the piece to the atmosphere surrounding the moon and then reworked the lower to reflect this new take. Hope you enjoy.
