Life Fabric Indigo

I donate paintings every year to this local fundraiser for the Animal Rescue League of Bedford, NH. I usually take the occasion t o work in a different way than usual, trying a different method of building a painting. In this case it began with cut shapes of sail fabric glued to the surface of a gessoed wood panel, layered with a gel medium, stained with a layer of indigo colored ink, then painted over with zinc white acrylic paint and scraped away leaving some beautiful highlighted textures. line wok done with acrylic ink, then a layer of acrylic gel matte medium.
