After a couple of years of working on two paintings and not finding a good enough resolution, I decided to cut it up and create individual vignettes--this has proved to be a new way for me to work. I adhered the canvas--which has had so many layers of paint on it as I tried over two years to resolve a larger painting--that I am quite happy with this result. This sereis of 9 Beachcombing images combine my love of texture, muted color, drawn lines, irregular surfaces, fabric side edge texture, and an added 3D effect with a self-beachcombed smooth stone. All these aspects in a nutshell sums up what has attracted me for a long to my current art practice. Hope you enjoy.
