Village at the Edge of the Sea Portland

Part of an ongoing painting series of New England coastal images placed together in a patchwork sort of way, interconnecting people, places and landmarks. This one incorporates the Portland Observatory, Immaculate Conception church tower and the waterfront of the old port. Other details are inspired by other villages and communities in New England. I enjoy designing in classic fish shack forms and other motifs found in local coastal locations.
