This piece evolved from a simple line sketch. I drew it directly on the watercolor paper and started painting. I really didn't have any idea of the final look and feel. It developed a sense of longing or possibly listening to the sounds of the evening. The people could be communicating with each other or not. Or they are listening from their homes to the myriad of sounds found along the oceanfront. Or thinking about one another as night arrives...
