Watching and Waiting

I enjoy working with the geometry of shapes and forms in my work--reflections, verticals and spots of color. Working waterfronts usually have an overload of imagery and texture for me to work with. Choosing just what goes into a piece is the real challenge. Adding a figure to this painting brings a thoughtful element in contrast to the busyness of the boat, wharf and their reflections.
