Returning

A flock of crows and the coming of spring inspired this playful piece. The starkness of the black of the crows contrasted with the soft colors of a spring awakening--a combination that I really enjoy working with. How to balance the boldness of blacks and linear blacks with a softer color palette. I continue to use ragged edges and scumbled paint application to reinforce my mantra of "messy, uncommon, friendly" contemporary art.
