Cool Dune Sands

If you have ever pushed your feet into sand shaded by a snow fence at a beach you'll understand the title of this piece. After a hot day at the beach it is a welcome sensation to dig your feet into sand that has been shaded by a dune--ahh so cool. And then you are ready to do it all again the next day. This piece is handled with a rough texture letting the paint sit up on the raised surfaces giving the coarse-looking texture. I hoped to create a beautiful image of a memorable summer day.
