The rough well-worn surfaces found at a fishing waterfront continue to provide me with rich details to explore--boats, piers, fishermen and women. I paint on colors in layers and then scrape them off as though they are being worn away due to use, weather or time. I've positioned figures in this waterfront scene implying someone is waiting for something or someone to arrive. Though feel free to write your own story...
