Fashionable

I was determined to make a bold line drawing outlining a favorite iconic couple shape that I have been making for years. I also played with collage bits to bring some fun surface texture to the piece. I hadn't planned the overall color palette before I began but the orange polka dot piece of a paper bag from France began this color palette. I collaged it onto the reddish color underpainting surface. I proceeded from there hoping the polka dots would make the final cut without being painted over. Happily, the polka dots stayed. Framed in blonde floater.
