Days Work Kittery Maine (diptych)

Framed in dark maple splined floater. I've explored this Kittery fish pier located across from Portsmouth, NH over the Piscataqua River, several times in previous works. In this painting I went back to a more realistic approach while deleting detail and highlighting others. We non-fishers sometimes take for granted the daily difficulties fishermen and women conquer to bring us beautiful fresh seafood. I admire their work ethic to continue in all weather conditions to go out onto the water and do their job. Working in my warm and dry art studio is no comparison to their spectacular outdoor workplace, but still I work hard to honor them with my paintings.
